Ran a STEM activity for primary school children at RAF Cranwell families day

Alongside the staff of Thales' [High G training facility](https://www.gallifordtry.co.uk/sectors/projects/raf-cranwell-high-g-training-facility/), ran the Thales STEM stand, focussing on an early coding tool for primary school aged children.

Secured internal R&D funding for automated testing

Pitched and won funding to establish automated testing for underwater systems at Thales, then independently led the year‑long delivery phase.

Cut defect resolution time by 67%

Led adoption of shift-left testing practices across the team, catching issues earlier and shrinking the time from bug found to bug fixed.

Led a Kafka Outbox migration at 500k+ req/day

Migrated a high-traffic Currencycloud service to the Kafka Outbox pattern, improving reliability without downtime for live payment traffic.

Cut manual deployment setup time by 83%

Automated Linux deployments with Bash, removing hours of repetitive manual setup for the team.

Taught 2,800+ women as Lead Instructor at Code First Girls

Delivered 16-week Software & Data Engineering and Data Science bootcamps, plus 4-week professional courses on AI in the Workplace, Machine Learning and Java. Redesigned the CFG software engineering degree curriculum.

Built the technical content for two CFG courses

Designed and created the content for the 5-week specialisation module of the Software & Data Engineering bootcamp, and for the standalone Java course.

Won British Rowing Young Volunteer of the Year

Recognised nationally for volunteer contributions to Mersey Rowing Club, on top of building the club's scheduling system in spare time.

Built the Members Hub for Mersey Rowing Club

Developed microservices to automate scheduling for Mersey Rowing Club, saving the club roughly 29 volunteer hours a week.

Upgraded a full-stack app in CFG's mid-level upskilling bootcamp

Worked in a 4-person agile team to integrate GraphQL (cutting endpoint sprawl from the existing REST API), introduce Cucumber & Selenium UI/regression tests, and automate deployment with Terraform.

Certified Tester, Foundation Level — the industry-standard software testing qualification.
